Saturday 12 July, 12:00 - 4:00pm, Free

Join digital art collective Compiler for a playful, hands-on workshop to explore personal geographies, shared memories, and acts of resistance through pixel art and pattern-making.
Inspired by embroidery traditions and the idea of desire lines - unofficial paths we make through space - we will create digital pattern designs that reflect things that matter to us in our local areas. Using a pixel art tool and chequered templates, we will encode places, stories, or feelings into a collective digital tapestry.
In this free, drop-in workshop, we will reflect on access, agency, and belonging through both digital and material traces. Creations and outcomes from the workshop will become part of a growing installation on LED screens and an online map visualising our points of interest, connection and traces left for others.
Please note this event has now passsed.
All welcome, family friendly. All materials will be provided. No previous experience necessary.
